Job Title: Year 2 Class Teacher
Job Summary:
The Year 2 Class Teacher is responsible for the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils in Year 2. The teacher will deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum, create a supportive learning environment, and ensure pupils achieve expected learning outcomes in line with the school’s curriculum and values.

Key Responsibilities:
•Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate lessons in line with the approved curriculum.
•Teach core subjects including English, Mathematics, and other foundation subjects.
•Develop pupils’ literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills.
•Assess, record, and report pupils’ progress through continuous assessment and examinations.
•Prepare lesson notes, teaching aids, and instructional materials.
•Maintain a safe, well-organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
•Support pupils’ social skills, behaviour, and emotional development.
•Identify learning difficulties early and provide intervention or additional support where necessary.
•Communicate effectively with parents regarding pupils’ progress and welfare.
•Participate in school activities, staff meetings, trainings, and extracurricular programs.
•Uphold school policies, safeguarding rules, and professional ethics at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (B.Ed, B.A Ed, B.Sc Ed, or equivalent).
•Teaching certification or TRCN registration (where applicable).
•Experience teaching early primary classes is an advantage.
•Strong understanding of child development and early years pedagogy.
•Good classroom management and communication skills.
