Job Description

Vice-Principal Academics/Administration is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the educational institution, ensuring that administrative functions, and student services run smoothly. This role also involves collaborating with senior teaching staff to ensure the smooth running of the school academic programmes students. Work with teaching and non-teaching staff, students and parents to foster a positive learning environment and promote educational excellence. The School administrator is also to ensure that systems are in place to maintain the welfare of both the staff and student body.

  • Manage and coordinate school operations and activities.
  • Supervise staff, both teaching and non-teaching and support professional development initiatives.
  • Develop and implement school policies and procedures.
  • Oversee student enrolment, attendance, and performance tracking.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy school environment.
  • Communicate with parents and the community regarding school programs and events.

The School Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school, overseeing various administrative tasks that support both staff and students.

  • Supervise and evaluate school staff, providing guidance and support to enhance performance and professional development.
  • Manage school inventory, including ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and ensuring resources are available for teachers and students.
  • Help coordinate school schedules, extracurricular activities, and special events to optimize resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement school policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with educational regulations and standards both state and federal.
  • Oversee student enrollment processes, maintain student records, and ensure accurate reporting for state and federal requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between parents, teachers, and administrative staff, addressing concerns and fostering a positive school community.
  • Assist in the development of educational programs and initiatives that enhance student learning and engagement and organise relevant in-service programmes.
  • Organize and conduct staff meetings, professional development workshops, and training sessions to promote continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with staff, students, and parents.
