Job Description: Primary and Nursery School Teacher

Position Title: Primary and Nursery School Teacher

Location: Ajah,  Lagos State

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Head of School

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teaching and Curriculum Delivery:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and Christian ethos.

Utilize innovative teaching methods to cater to diverse learning needs and ensure academic excellence.

Monitor and evaluate student progress through assessments, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.

2. Spiritual and Character Development:

Integrate Christian teachings and principles into daily lessons and activities.

Model Christlike behaviour in interactions with students and colleagues.

3. Classroom Management:

Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning and growth.

Address behavioral issues with patience and understanding, emphasizing restorative practices aligned with Christian values.

4. Collaboration and Professional Development:

Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, administrators, and parents to support students’ holistic development.

Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and maintain high standards of competency.

5. Additional Responsibilities:

Organize and supervise extracurricular activities, school events, and games.

Ensure the safety and well-being of students in all school activities.

Qualifications:

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field, National Certificate in Education (NCE).

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a primary or nursery school setting. Experience in a faith-based institution is a plus.

Faith Commitment: A practicing Christian with a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and an active member of a Christian church.
